At Portage Knife, Regrinding Services are a big part of what we do. We regrind thousands of circular knives every week routinely, allowing us to do it for a low cost! Whether your knife was made by us or another supplier, we can regrind sharp or radius edges in virtually any included edge angle. We can also regrind pinkers, perfs and scallop blades.

We designed our Crack & Peel circular knives to help customers that are running multi-layered materials but only want to cut the top layer and leave the base layer untouched. Made to customer’s specifications.
Crack & Peel Blades
Crimper circular knives are used to bind or “crimp” two adhesives together. Made to customer’s specifications.
Crimper Blades
Perforator circular knives create a patterned cut making an easy and clean tear-point on a thin material. We can make perforator blades from any existing knife, custom knife or even blades supplied by the customer.

We are capable of a .0035” tooth slot (tie), but we often recommend at least a .005” tie.
No. All the blades we manufacture are through hardened.
Generally, our blades are manufactured from American made, 52100 steel. However, we have also made and stock blades in D2, M2, Stainless Steel, Bronze, CPM10V, Carbide, and S7. Feel free to request any material though!
Same day on stock items, 1-2 weeks on regrinds and perfs, 6-8 weeks on most custom knives, 8-10 weeks on imports.
One of many examples is we are always investing in advanced modern machinery that allows us to hold very tight tolerances consistently. Doing so gives our blades a better, much more dependable cut and a longer life.
